What Christ Taught Me…

In life, different people enlighten us in different but remarkable ways. They could be our relatives, friends, colleagues or even strangers. They teach us various principles that we intend to live by.

Through such chalk talks, I have had so many teachings that I have learnt from such people (above) and I never let them go. Not at all. Still, I have had greater lessons from a great friend, Jesus Christ. He has been more than a teacher. Like a pillar in my life. His teachings, I desire to emulate always. I may not be perfect in complying with each and every teaching but I try.

Knowledge from God’s word isn’t just mere knowledge. It’s food for the soul. It’s eternity in simple words. Through my life situations, Christ taught me that I’m the light of the world and the salt of the earth too; and that I shouldn’t hide my light but I should let it shine! Today I’m living by this teaching. I will let the light shine in all the darkness of the earth each day.

Matthew 5:16, “In the same way your light must shine before people so that they’ll see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.”

He taught me that if I asked, I would receive. When I sought Him, I’d find Him. And even if I’ll knock, He will always open the door for me. But He stopped and said, “My daughter, you should always ask with the right motive.”

James 4:3, “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives.”
And that’s why I long to live right each moment of my life. Because HE taught me 
