Feel of Heaven…
“I wish I could write it as a song. I could sing it forever. Each day and every day. It gives me joy. Each time I close my eyes, I see the beauty. Unexplainable beauty. Lights shining and calm winds blowing past my eyes is all I can see. It’s a feeling of love. From He who was slain for my iniquity. His embrace brought us rest and contentment that no man can explain or describe. I’m glad that He made it known to me. That after the sorrows and tears, I’ll have peace under His wings. I’ll have sound sleep. Like a small baby, I will never have any worries. I’ll have an opportunity to dance and sing to the great melodies.”
And that’s my feel of heaven
But wait a minute. Is there heaven on earth? Do we ever experience its feel? This has been a question in my mind over and over again. But still, I’m certain of one thing; that we are entitled to experience hope and joy. We were not created to face trials, worries, illnesses and every other bad encounter; and afterwards get to heaven and experience joy.
God wants us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12) and still smile at life because we deserve it! The cross brought redemption and that’s why we need to have hope and be happy too. The Grace of God will bring it to us. But there is one thing that God expects of us. We need to switch it on to this happiness. We have to take the initiative of climbing up the ladder and switch it on. There might be power, a bulb and even the switch, but if we don’t take the step to switch it on, we may never experience heaven.
Heaven is on earth but it’s by our perception and initiative that we will feel it’s feel.
Christ made it possible by His sacrifice on the cross to set us free!
