Life is a stage, are you performing!
“I have one life and one chance to make it count for something…my faith demands that I do whatever I can, wherever I am, whenever I can, for as long as I can with whatever I have to try to make a difference”.~Jimmy Carter
Think about all the things you have been wanting to do for a moment and check how you have packed them nicely for “tomorrow”, Here’s the truth, as much as we would not like to think about it, the reality is that, our time on planet earth is limited and our goal should be to empty ourselves.
Moment to reflect:
A few days ago, I’ve had a light bulb moment and It felt like I have never really seen things this way. I realized how much of an opportunity it is to be alive, so many things we often take for granted, so many opportunities we misuse, so many chances we miss, so many times we forget. The question is, are we even paying attention to any of these.
If we were to be truthful, I think we would admit that we are distracted and here’s the thing about distractions, they are costly and often trying to keep us asleep, asleep to our true purpose, asleep to our goals, asleep to opportunities around us.
How do we see that we are distracted, by;
1. Losing focus
2. Forgetting what matters
3. Playing small
5. Being fearful
Is it possible that we go through so much in our lives because we are being awakened from all these distractions? The experiences are constantly reminding us why we are here, is it possible that, this is the reason why they are often painful. Here is the thing about pain; pain you can’t ignore, it will eventually drive you to take action and pain is also an alert, so pain is a good thing and maybe that is the reason why we find our greatness through pain, because sometimes comfort makes us forget, keeps us in a sleeping mode and probably the reason why pain is so painful is that hopefully we don’t go through it again.
Somebody once said, there is a “message” in your “mess”, I believe it’s true. So what should we be doing
Stay the course:
1. Finish what you start
2. Keep what you promised
3. Realize time is limited
4. Embrace every moment
5. Stay present
The goal is to deliver, the goal is to die empty, the goal is to exhaust everything.
After all, no one else but you can dance your dance, no one else but you can sing your song. The question is, will you..
Will you seize the day?
