Truth: Food To My Soul…



I had a question of what I feed myself with. Well, not really food but what I stuff my heart with each day I get up till evening when I have to rest. God’s word puts it clearly and I now have an answer of what I should be meditating about.

Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things.”

The Lord now has put into my mind that I need to speak and walk in truth in all situations. I don’t need to check or ensure if the situation favors me so that I can decide whether what I’ll do or speak is the truth.

No. God desires that you and I will be truthful ALWAYS.

It’s no doubt that for me to meditate on the truth and pure things, I have to choose the right company to walk with. I realized in my life that if I hang out with lions then I will rule the jungle. Also, if I hang out with eagles then I’ll definitely fly high like them. But what if I decide to choose the wrong company? I’ll surely be headed to the drain, right?

God is expecting us to each day to live right and in His truth because it’s our way of worship to Him. He promises blessings when we choose the right way though it may be a narrow one.

Psalm 1:1, “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.
