Its Your Day!

As I flashback, I recall my first day when I joined high school. I really had great anticipation of a new environment as well as new people. Even as I went to bed the previous day, all that was running in my mind was what I would learn in that new ‘place’. It would be my day! I was anxious and excited at the same time. To date, I can’t really tell what feeling superseded the other, but all was crystal clear that it would be an amazing day.

Just like my first day at school, it’s the same way that we wait for our blessings from God. Sometimes we are anxious and even we ask ourselves whether the waiting is worth it. Other times we don’t seem to think that it could be a reality. Nevertheless, God’s word urges us not to be anxious but to pray.

Philippians 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

One thing that I hold close to my heart is that the blessing of God is SURE. Even in your case, whatever duration it may take, believe in your heart that it will surely come to be. Job (in the Bible) might have been so miserable, but all in all, His patience in God eventually bore fruit. He lost all he had, including his children, his riches, and livestock but he didn’t lose his faith and trust in the Most High. Eventually, his BIG DAY came too and God restored him!

Job 42:12-13, “The LORD blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the first. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys. And he also had seven sons and three daughters.”

Are you waiting for your big day? Are worries and anxiety replacing the hope and ambition you’ve had? Be sure that your day will come. It’s real. Don’t lose the faith J
