The Hurry Bug…

Time passes by and minutes turned to hours as I stared blankly into my computer screen, lost for what to say, write or even think, my mind doing the 360 degree flip on me.It was time to take a break, to pause, to stop and think for a moment…where exactly have I been hurrying to all this while?

If there is anything life has taught me in the past few months of my life which are a series of rather fast paced learning if I must add, it is that it is absolutely important to give time time, give yourself time to grow, to shine, to build, to develop, to learn, to mature, to heal, to love and be loved, to accept and tolerate others, to forgive and forget.

I have been in too much of a hurry for so long in my life, guess I let the ‘hurry bug’ bite me since I was a kid. Was so much in a hurry to be born, to grow up, to learn all there is to learn, to mature, to sow and reap almost immediately, to give and to take, to soar with no time practicing to fly, to run without mastering the art of crawling let alone walking and I would say that I have fallen so many times, broken my wings…and back in some cases but one thing I am most thankful for is that through it all, I am still here to tell the story

Ever wondered why Christ’s ministry wasn’t manifested until he was aged thirty? Or why the moon had to hide till evening before it brings forth its glory, why it is that we’ve been taught since we were kids, to take turns and that patience was a virtue? You can only cover a star for so long, it always shines out bright but at its time and season.

The Bible calls it seed time and harvest time, time to sow and time to reap, there is always a time for everything under the sun and we just need to be sensitive to it.

Meanwhile, during the period of awaiting that manifestation, the preparation period, be sure to keep an open mind, grow, brace yourself to become the great one and make absolutely sure to enjoy your journey. Remember, you deserve only the best.
