Confident and Determined!
“I’m confident and determined.”
These two great words speak volumes the moment we speak them out. Sometimes it’s not easy to say that we are confident especially when we have gone through devastating moments in our lives.
In Deuteronomy 31:7-8, Joshua had to succeed Moses in leading God’s people to the promised land. He was responsible for each one of them in the great exodus journey. Moses knew how it felt like to lead these people but all he told Joshua was to be confident and determined because the Lord was with him.
What even amazes me was when even God Himself told Joshua the same words. It shows that God was on His side too. How credible is that! You know when God also accents something; we shouldn’t take it for granted. He’s real.
Deuteronomy 31:23 The LORD gave this command to Joshua son of Nun: “Be confident and determined, for you will bring the Israelites into the land I promised them on oath, and I myself will be with you.”
Have you already made up your mind? Are you determined now? Will you stand confidently today? Just imagine how you will achieve much in your life if at all you believe.
Christ also took away our unbelief and inefficiencies when He didn’t look back as He took the cross. He too was confident and determined to set us free. As we commemorate His death and resurrection in this season, let’s be sure of a change in our lives in Christ. Despite the hurt, the sickness and pain, we will remain confident. Despite the uncertain future and the rocky path, we will be determined.
Hebrews 4:16: Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Dear friend, let’s rise up today! If Jesus did it, who are we not to?
