The swing of things; uncertainty is our reality, the question is, when caught up in the swing, are you reactive or creative?

Moment to Reflect:

For a couple of days now, I have been caught up in the swing of things and found myself a couple of times wanting to react. How does creative and reactive thinking look like!!

Reactive thinking:

The reactive kind of thinking is fear based, decisions are taken based on emotions, the ego is in control.

What could be helpful; each time you are about to react, take a moment to calm down, distract yourself with something, try avoid the subject, sleep over it and respond to it the next day. You will notice, there’s a huge difference between how you were going to respond to the matter initially and how you are responding to it now. The pattern of reaction is outward, hence its easy to react, because we don’t have to think much about what we are about to do but unfortunately the consequences can be regrettable.

Creative thinking:

Creative thinking allows multiple option, chance to weigh these options down and take a well informed constructive action. Chances are, the more you practice creative thinking, the more you will make better choices in life and the more your life will be a success, this is because a calm mind can deal with almost anything.

Are you creative or reactive?
