daughter often has this phrase that she likes using on everyone in the house, including me, when she notices that I am impatient or frustrated about something and she would then say “Mommy Breath” and one of those times happened this past week when we were having problems with the car and I actually didn’t realize that there’s something significant about this “breathing phrase.”
So I’ve had to call the road assistance a couple of times, to assist me with the car, it’s been pretty much frustrating not to mention the inconvenience. However I’ve realized the importance of staying calm under such situations and I think this is what my daughter would often refer to when she says “Breath.”
You can’t get what you want when you are worried/frustrated/anxious
Being frustrated, worried and anxious are energies that block solutions, that simply means in that space you are not going to get much done, you are not going to get solutions instead that space will suck you in to more worry, frustration and anxiety, so whenever you find yourself in that space, know that it’s time to BREATH.
BREATHING IS LIFE – SOLUTION CENTERED
BREATHING IS SPACE – NEW PERSPECTIVE
BREATHING IS DISCIPLINE – STOPS YOUR MIND FROM CONTINUING TO WORRY
BREATHING IS A BREAK – TAKES YOUR ATTENTION AWAY FROM THE “SO CALLED PROBLEM”
BREATHING IS A DISTRACTION – IT HELPS YOU FOCUS ON SOMETHING ELSE.
Here’s what we need to understand;
Solutions are not found at the same level as worry, frustration and anxiety, those are just lower levels of operation and when we are at these lower levels, we will not get constructive ways of dealing with our problems. Worrying, being anxious and frustrated are low energies and they don’t have the ability to give us solutions to our problems.
When you experience these low energies it’s time to PAUSE and BREATH.
We are never orphaned or neglected, we are provided and cared for, by the very LIFE that brought us here, the very same LIFE is with us every single moment of our lives, it sustains our very existence, it guides us and all we need to do is to trust the existence of this LIFE and that we are never alone when going through something. Remember each time we BREATH we invite the presence of this LIFE.
